EasyCal Instrument Performance Verification Program Instructions

Please note this performance verification program assumes the user is familiar with the instrument and has working knowledge of instrument and EasyMatch QC configuration and operation. If needed, refer to the instrument’s user manual for detailed operating instructions prior to proceeding.

Open the EasyCal Instrument Performance Verification Entry Form. The link can be found here:

EasyCal Instrument Performance Verification Entry Form

1. Enter your company contact information in the respective fields. This information will be used in your validation report and in the event HunterLab will need to contact you regarding this test. The Tile Set ID can be found at the top of the EasyCal tile set box.
2. Select ‘Next’ to continue.
3. Ensure your instrument is turned on and connected to EasyMatch QC. Set the mode to Reflectance Specular Included (RSIN), 1 inch area of view, and UV nominal.
4. Standardize your instrument as normal.
5. Configure the Color Data Table to display CIELAB values (L*,a*,b*) and D65/10 illuminant/observer.
6. Confirm your setup matches the required parameters and click ‘Continue’ to begin taking measurements.
7. Start with the EasyCal White tile. Hold the tile by its edges. Ensure the tile is clean and free of dirt and fingerprints. Position the tile in the middle of the port plate and secure the tile with the instrument sample clamp. 
8. Click the read sample button in EasyMatch QC and enter the measured values into the entry form.
9. Once the values are entered, click ‘Next’ to continue.
10. Repeat this process with the remaining tiles, continuing with the gray tile, followed by the blue tile, then green tile.
11. After measuring all four tiles, the process is repeated once more for a total of two measurements per tile.
12. Upon completing the measurements, enter any additional comments or notes to be included with the submission. 
13. Press ‘Submit’ when finalized. The results of this test will be compiled, and you will receive an email from HunterLab containing your certificate upon passing. If your instrument does not pass, HunterLab will contact the email address listed in this form with any questions or additional actions.
