ColorFlex Sample Cup Port + Open, Glass, 400 nm and 420 nm UV Cut-off Filter Options Follow
For samples that must be contained for color measurement such as powders, granules, pellets, creams and translucent liquids, HunterLab typically sells a glass sample cup (HL# 04-7209-00) with an open sample cup port (HL# 04-6622-00).
This sample cup port is designed to center the sample cup at the measuring port. The drop-down lip allows the lens of the instrument to focus on the bottom of the sample rather than the bottom of the glass window.
Here are some useful options for the sample cup port:
CMR-3155 Sample Cup Port + Glass
Modifies a ColorFlex 45/0 04-6622-00 Open Sample Cup Port to add a glass disk under the drop-down lip of the sample cup port. Although there is another cover glass over the detector below the port, this modification adds extra protection against spills.
CMR-3187 Sample Cup Port + 380-nm UV Filter
Modifies a ColorFlex 45/0 04-6622-00 Sample Cup Port to add a 380-nm UV Cut-off filter under the drop-down lip of the port. This effectively cuts off the UV below 360-nm for UV optically brightened opaque powders, pellets, liquids and translucent creams. The filter controls the UV output of the lamp to allow consistent measurement of the UV-excluded base color of the sample.
CMR-3156 Sample Cup Port + 400 nm UV Filter
Modifies a ColorFlex 45/0 04-6622-00 Open Sample Cup Port to add a 400-nm UV cut-off filter under the drop-down lip of the sample cup port. This effectively cuts off the UV below 390-nm for UV optically brightened opaque powders, pellets, liquids and translucent creams. The filter controls the UV output of the lamp to allow consistent measurement of the UV-excluded base color of the sample.
CMR-3120 Sample Cup Port + 420 nm UV Filter
Modifies a ColorFlex 45/0 04-6622-00 Open Sample Cup Port to add a 420-nm UV Cut-off filter under the drop-down lip of the sample cup port. This effectively cuts off the UV below 400-nm for UV optically brightened opaque powders, pellets, liquids and translucent creams. The filter controls the UV output of the lamp to allow consistent measurement of the UV-excluded base color of the sample.
