Does the transmission compartment door need to be closed when taking readings? What if I have large samples? How does this affect my Haze and color readings?

The sample compartment door does not need to be closed when taking measurements. There is no difference in the measurement results when the door is open or closed. Some customers prefer to have the door closed when taking measurements; others prefer to remove the door entirely for improved efficiency in making large numbers of readings. For large samples, the door itself is designed to be easily removed for measuring large samples. The transmission compartment is open on 3 sides.
