Is Port Plate with UV filter glass used during instrument calibration? Follow

Question: We only use our instrument with the Port plate that has the UV filter glass when measuring our product. We are getting ready to send our instrument back for calibration. Do we need to send the Port Plate with UV filter glass back with the sensor? Can we keep it to use with the Rental you are sending. Is the Port Plate with UV filter used during instrument calibration?

Answer:

No. All calibration is done with the open port plate and the UV filter in the nominal position. You can keep the Port Plate with UV Filter glass and use it with the Rental instrument while your instrument is being calibrated.
