FAQ: ASTM D6290 - Which HunterLab Instruments comply?

Answer:

The following HunterLab instruments conform to the following D6290 Groups

Group I = LabScan XE/Agera with Large Area of View (LAV) port plate or LAV sample cup port plate

Group II = ColorFlex EZ only with sample cup port plate

Group IV = ColorQuest XE/UltraScan Vis/UltraScan Pro with LAV Port Plate and Specular-Exclusion (SPEX). It is recommended that the reflectance shelf be used.

Note: that for supplier/customer comparisons and approvals it is recommended that only like groups are compared. For example, do not compare or use a Group IV standard value or tolerances with a Group I or Group II instrument. Also note that the D25LT conforms to Group II and as of 2016 was still being used by several companies.
