The beta reflectance or luminance factor is the same as Y Brightness expressed as a ratio relative to base 1 instead of 100. For example, Y = 85.06, beta reflectance or luminance factor is 0.8506. This CMR allows the display of beta, x, y as a color scale and beta as a single index for any illuminant observer combination in MiniScan EZ firmware.
