Purpose: Provides a method to attach MiniScan EZ, ColorFlex EZ and D25NC to a Data Collection system.
Answer:
Several data collection systems such as Win SPC, Infinity, etc. require an RS-232 Serial Communication port for connection. MiniScan EZ, ColorFlex EZ, and D25NC all have USB outputs and cannot be connected directly to these systems for data collection. The solution is to use the attached USB to Serial Bridge program on a Windows OS system. Download the zip file, install Runtime.msi and then run the USB/RS232 program. Select the com port you would like to use on the PC and connect to your data collection system using that port.
