FAQ: When I open the EasyMatch QC software, I receive a run time error and/or a failed to create empty document error. Also, when I perform certain functions in EasyMatch QC I receive a run time error and the software closes.

These error messages are most likely a result of the user not having the proper privileges on the computer.

After installation of EasyMatch QC software versions > 4.20, the following privilege levels should be set automatically if the person performing the installation has System Administrator privileges for the network or local PC.

These error messages are most likely caused by different versions of EasyMatch QC software. Please check to see if multiple PC's are using different versions of EasyMatch QC.

The latest EasyMatch QC can open the jobs created by older versions of EasyMatch QC. However, there might be problems when the jobs created by the newer EasyMatch QC are opened in older versions of EasyMatch QC.  A "Failed to create empty document" error will be shown. 

If you see this error when using only one EasyMatch QC version and when specific jobs are opened, these jobs might be corrupted. If you only use one EasyMatch QC version and see this error on all jobs, please try to do a clean uninstall and re-install of EasyMatch QC.
