FAQ:  What does the error code Field 'tSensorState.txtStdzMode' cannot be a zero-length string' mean?

WarningImportant Notes:
Applies to: EasyMatch QC

Answer:

This error message has been found with LabScan XE and ColorQuest XE sensors when running EasyMatch QC but can occur with any HunterLab sensor.

Sensor may be installed and working correctly but this message will pop up every time a measurement is taken because all standardization modes have been removed (reason unknown). You can see this if you look at the bottom of the screen which shows ?????? for the sensor serial number and no mode information listed.

Here are the steps to clear this.

  • Re-install the sensor and re-establish a standardization mode. Go to SENSOR > INSTALL - CONFIGURE and remove any existing sensor such as??????. Then ADD THE SENSOR and standardize in the appropriate mode for the application. This sensor information will now show on the bottom of the main screen. Exit EasyMatch QC and come back in. The sensor and mode information should still display at the bottom of the screen. This should resolve the issue.
  • If the sensor serial number does display correctly in the sensor information line but there is no mode information displayed, go to SENSOR > SET MODE and STANDARDIZE in a new mode. The new mode information should display at the bottom of the screen and this step should resolve the error message.
