FAQ: I got a sensor connection error when using EasyMatch QC.  How do I correct this?

WarningImportant Notes:
Used on: EasyMatch QC

Answer:

If you get an EasyMatch QC Sensor Connection error first do the following.

Turn the sensor off, then turn it back on, does it beep within about 60 seconds? If yes, then the sensor has initialized, and you should be able to communicate with it providing:

  1. Your cable is good,
  2. You are specifying the correct serial port, and
  3. Have full permissions over the EasyMatch QC software folders.

If the sensor did not beep, then it did not initialize. Either the Retro viewer switch or Foot switch (if connected) is stuck; jiggle to try to unstick or remove covers to inspect. If these are confirmed to be good, then contact service again and ask for an SRO.
