FAQ: I went to the Sensors folder to make sure everything was cleaned out and found two files - the normal sensor.datâ and a new one sensorq.data (why two files?)

Answer:

I deleted both to clear all sensor information, but when I opened EasyMatch QC 4.86.02, it re-created both files immediately. Is this coming from the SoftKey license

When using the hardware key, information for stored sensors is installed in the sensor.dat file at c:\HunterLab\EasyMatchQC\Sensors folder.

On activating the SoftKey License successfully, the same will be stored in a file at

  • C:\HunterLab\EasyMatchQC\Sensors\sensq.dat for EasyMatch QC and
  • C:\HunterLab\EasyMatchQC-ER Client\sensors\sensr.dat for EasyMatch QC-ER which can be accessed by the application with normal user privileges.

A copy of the same, will be stored in a with a different name in system protected folder as backup. If the license file is deleted, it will be automatically created again from the backup file. This license file is named as sensq.dat, so that it cannot be distinguishably identified as a license file.
