EasyMatch® Quality Central extends EasyMatch® Essentials L2 by providing centralized and enterprise-level color data management while maintaining the same familiar interface and workflow. It enables synchronized standards, automatic data backup, and scalable deployment across single-site and multi-site operations.
Quality Central requires Essentials L2 for measurement — it is a centralized management extension, not a standalone measurement platform.
Data synchronizes automatically between instrument and PC; however, views and active jobs remain independently configurable.
Enterprise users can create standards centrally and deploy them across networked instruments using Ethernet connectivity.
EasyMatch® Quality Central
Connected Color Control. Scalable Data Confidence.
(v2026.1)
HunterLab’s EasyMatch® Quality Central is a powerful network-based PC color quality control platform designed to work seamlessly with embedded EasyMatch® Essentials L2 instrument software.
Both platforms share the same interface, structure, terminology, and workflow — so users can work confidently in either environment. Whether operating directly at the instrument with Essentials L2, managing data from a PC with Quality Central, or using both together, the experience remains consistent and intuitive.
Most importantly, the systems automatically synchronize data — creating shared standards, centralized backup, and unified quality control across your organization, while allowing independent jobs and role-specific views in each environment. The systems share data — not screen states — allowing operators and quality managers to work differently while staying aligned.

Deployment Configuration Model
EasyMatch® Essentials L2 is the measurement foundation of the system.
EasyMatch® Quality Central extends Essentials L2 by adding centralized data management and enterprise-level control.
Quality Central does not perform measurements independently — all color measurements are executed at the instrument using Essentials L2.
Configuration Options
1. Essentials L2 (Instrument-Only Deployment)
Standalone instrument-based color measurement and quality control.
Local standards and tolerances
Local data storage
Instrument-level reporting
Ideal for single-instrument environments
2. Essentials L2 + Quality Central (Connected Deployment)
Instrument-based measurement with centralized PC-based data management and governance.
Automatic data synchronization between instrument and PC
Centralized storage and backup
Central standard creation and deployment
Multi-instrument oversight
Enterprise scalability
Quality Central enhances — but does not replace — instrument measurement.
How the Connected Deployment Works
When connected:
Measurements are performed at the instrument using Essentials L2
Data synchronizes automatically to Quality Central
Standards and tolerances can be managed centrally
Updates can be deployed back to connected instruments
Importantly:
Display views are independently configurable
Operators and quality managers can work differently while staying aligned
The system shares data — not screen states.
At a Glance
Measurement happens at the instrument.
Management happens centrally.
Data stays synchronized.
Views remain independent.
A secure network connection links the HunterLab instrument to a PC via a network or local router, enabling centralized data management and software integration.
Benefits for Centralized Customers
(Single Site, Small to Mid-Size Operations)
For companies operating one facility or a limited number of instruments, Quality Central provides professional-level control without enterprise complexity.
Key Benefits:
✔ Centralized Data Management
All color standards, tolerances, and measurements stored in one secure PC location.
✔ Automatic Backup & Data Redundancy
Instrument data mirrors to the PC automatically — reducing risk of data loss.
✔ Simplified Reporting & Documentation
Generate professional reports from a central workstation.
✔ Improved Workflow Visibility
Quality managers gain oversight without needing to access each instrument individually.
✔ Scalable Growth Path
Start with a single site and expand seamlessly if operations grow.
Result:
Structured, secure color QC with improved traceability and operational confidence — without IT burden.
Benefits for Enterprise Customers
(Multiple Instruments, Multiple Sites, Global Operations)
For large organizations, Quality Central becomes a powerful enterprise color management system.
Key Benefits:
✔ Central Standard Creation
Create master standards and tolerances at headquarters.
✔ Global Standard Deployment
Push standards to multiple instruments across sites using Ethernet on a shared network.
✔ Fleet-Wide Synchronization
Maintain consistency across production lines, plants, or global facilities.
✔ Enterprise-Level Data Control
Centralized management of instrument data across your entire fleet.
✔ Improved Global Visual Alignment
Ensure that products made in different locations meet the same color expectations.
✔ Reduced Variation & Rework
Eliminate local drift in tolerances and methods.
✔ IT-Friendly Architecture
PC-based system integrates cleanly into enterprise networks.
Result:
One source of truth. One quality language. One global standard.
Consistent Interface. Expanded Capability.
Quality Central enhances and extends the familiar functionality of Essentials L2:
Same terminology
Same structure
Same measurement concepts
Expanded management capabilities
Operators stay productive immediately. Quality managers gain deeper control.
Why It Matters
Color consistency is no longer just an instrument function — it is a data management strategy.
EasyMatch® Quality Central transforms color measurement from isolated instrument data into a connected, scalable quality system — whether you operate one instrument or a global fleet.
