The purpose of this document is to provide critical pre-installation guidance for the HunterLab Agera® L2 spectrophotometer to ensure proper setup, environmental suitability, safety compliance, and long-term measurement accuracy. Reviewing and following these requirements before unpacking and installation helps protect instrument performance and prevent avoidable operational issues.

Important Notes:

Environmental Conditions Directly Impact Accuracy

The Agera L2 must operate within specified limits — 10°–40°C, 10–90% RH (non-condensing), 110–240 VAC, 47–63 Hz — and must be placed on a stable, vibration-free surface with at least 20 cm (8 in) clearance on all sides. Improper environmental conditions can adversely affect performance.

Proper Site Placement Is Critical

Avoid direct sunlight, windows, heat sources, strong electrical fields, vibrations, alkalis, acid vapors, and organic solvents. These factors can compromise optical performance and long-term instrument stability.

Safety and Service Compliance

The Agera L2 contains UV illumination — UV-protective eyewear must be worn when observing LEDs inside the instrument. Service must only be performed by HunterLab-authorized, factory-trained representatives. Failure to follow these guidelines may negatively impact instrument performance and warranty coverage.
