How to test the connection between ColorFlex EZ and a computer.
We need to determine if your computer can recognize that the ColorFlex EZ is connected.
1. Can you identify the sensor in the Hardware Device Manager?
You need to look in Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, then expand the Human Interface Device branch of the Hardware tree. As you connect and then disconnect the ColorFlex EZ (the ColorFlex EZ must be powered on) to the USB port you will see a Human Interface Device appear then disappear. If the ColorFlex EZ is connected and it powers off, then it will disappear from the list.
2. Look at all of the Human Interface Devices listed, click on Properties, then Details. Look for the Device ID VID_1D89&PID_5AA5\1.0.0 this is the ID for the ColorFlex EZ
